First Post

So I'm 30.

So it turns out that turning 30 is a little like New Year, you get to make a bunch of 'resolutions' and things that you want to achieve now that time is slipping through your decrepit fingers... Although the great thing is that instead of only having 52 weeks to fail completely by my reckoning I have about 10 years, because that's the next big "milestone".

So I thought about a few things I might like to do or change in my life, one of which was that it might be a good idea is to start a blog! It turns out that I am not the first person to have this idea, and as I was searching for a name for this blog I ran into some past efforts of other people new to their thirties... Such as this one and this one as well who had the same idea.

If I manage more than one post then I will probably be doing better than these "bloggers" but I wonder if this does give a slight insight into the mind of the newly turned thirty year old, the desperation, the need for something new and exciting, and apparently the need to actually stick at something for more than the time it takes to cook a microwave curry. On the plus side gave me a shameless chance to test how links work in this blog :)

Well I am not going to ramble to long, mainly because I don't have any followers so I am basically just writing this for myself, is that a sign of madness? See, now I am asking myself questions. Still maybe when I have some followers they will travel back to this post to see where it all started... if you have come all that way, sorry it's going to be a disappointment!
