Harder than it looks...

So I have been thinking about my second post and it's not as simple as you might think, especially having just  criticized the previous one post wonders in my last entry. On the one hand it's difficult to think about what to write about, will it be funny / interesting etc and then on the other hand I remember that no one is actually reading this yet! So i should chill out...

So what am I going to talk about? Well I guess it's just going to be stuff happening in my life. As a parent I seem to have fallen into the trap of talking about my son a lot, and taking a lot of pictures (actually my wife takes most of them), oh hang on, does that sound like a shameless oppurtunity to post a picture and see how pictures look in my blog? Sure does....

Pretty sure you will be seeing plenty of those if i keep this up. In terms of other stuff happening in my life, well you know i went to the dentist today. Now don't get me started on the cost for like ten minutes work on his part but I do feel as though our relationship has matured. Instead of the usual "Do you floss?" we have moved onto "You should probably think about flossing a little harder".

"Oh OK, sure" I replied.

So this was new. I am well aware that in my 30 and a bit years I have never flossed, and I am pretty sure that a trained seasoned professional who looks at teeth all day long must also know that i don't floss... but I was happy to roll with it. Also if i kept him talking maybe I could drive his hourly rate back down below £100...

On a related note, the first thing I did having come out of the dentist was to buy some old school proper sweets, a quarter of rhubarb and custard! These things are great, and If you haven't treated yourself to some recently I strongly recommend it (could be cola-cubes or maybe bon bons..) Just a plain white bag with no details of the amount of sugar, calories or an annoying trivial pursuit pie logo with everything in the red to worry about!
